Lillington Health Hub combine SWFT community services clinics, Valley Road GP Surgery and SWFT’s Health and Wellbeing team under one roof to provide the local community with a range of services and activities. We are a new project so volunteer opportunities are currently limited, we hope to have more to offer as our work develops.
SWFT volunteers not only enhance patient experience but can also benefit from helping us; gaining knowledge, social connections, skills, confidence and motivation. Volunteering can also improve physical and mental health. Our aim is to give our volunteers a real sense of purpose and belonging.
We welcome anyone aged 18 and over to get involved and volunteer for their local NHS.
Please get in contact if you have questions or want to know more about our opportunities and work. Email: Health&WellbeingCentre@swft.nhs.uk.
We are working with Warwick District Council to recruit volunteers who can support the running of various Wellbeing Walks in the Lillington area. Volunteers will be willing to join a weekly walk that meets outside Lillington Health Hub, providing people with a warm welcome and supporting walk leaders to offer flexible walking routes to all who attend.
Monday morning walk 9-10:30am - a walk of approx. 1 mile which returns to Lillington Health Hub for refreshments and conversation afterwards.
Wednesday evening walks 5-6:30pm - an approx. 3 mile walk that meets and ends at the Hub
If you are interested in this opportunity please contact our Health & Wellbeing Hub Coordinator directly to discuss: Health&WellbeingCentre@swft.nhs.uk or call/message on 07436 056546.
Our vision is to improve the health and wellbeing of the community we serve, building a healthier and happier future together.
