HHH Ranch

Welcome to HHH Ranch

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at HHH Ranch! Our volunteers provide tremendous support to our programs, events and facilities. The time and energy you contribute will always be greatly appreciated and valued.

The majority of HHH's volunteer opportunities are available at our Ranch in Manhattan, IL. While we may have project-based needs in other areas,  volunteers primarily assist with lessons, grooming, barn chores, general property and facility maintenance, and office support. We have numerous needs for volunteers who want to help with fundraising, outreach and helping us connect with companies who may be interested in getting involved with our Mission.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:

The minimum age for volunteers is 4 years old and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Some areas of volunteering require moderate physical activity, so please be sure you are comfortable with the physical aspects of the volunteer role you select. Prior horse experience is not needed because we will teach you what you need to know to be an effective volunteer via trainings and continuing education.

Weekly volunteer shift commitments for at least two (2) hours a day are preferred.

If you have any questions, please be sure to email us at volunteer@HHHranchIL.org! For any changes less than 24 hours from the volunteer shift, please call us at 708-689-9811.

Ways To Help

Remote Positions

Want to volunteer with HHH, but your schedule doesn't allow you to make it out to the Ranch.  Be part of our remote team!

You can help with our newsletter, send out thank you letters to our donors, join our marketing committee and even be part of our social media team!

The best part is you can choose your own schedule

Barn Chores

We are always looking for help around the Ranch. Volunteers as young as 4 are welcome to join us with their guardian.

Horse Groomer

Groomers are expected to be a green volunteer and groom all lesson horses, including picking out their feet. Once the horse is completely groomed, their halters need to be put on.  Groomers should arrive by 12 pm and horses need to be groomed by 2 pm.
