Job Description
This spring and summer, join our amazing Community Support Services team and be a hero to pets and their families! You'll play a vital role in providing essential resources and support, helping keep families together. Imagine the joy you'll bring by connecting furry friends with the help they need to stay home with the ones they love.
Commitment
We’re looking for volunteers Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, and especially from noon – 4 p.m.!
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
As a Community Support Services volunteer, you'll:
- Become a communication whiz: Answer phones, triage calls, and send out purr-fectly friendly voicemails.
- Help families find their fur-ever friends: Schedule appointments, guide them through shelter resources, and book in incoming furry guests.
- Be a data whiz: Update records and collect information to help us care for all the amazing animals under our roof.

Requirements
- Be a listening rock: Offer a compassionate ear and a shoulder to lean on, even when things get tough. Don't worry, we'll train you to navigate challenging situations while maintaining professionalism.
- Become a shelter expert: Learn about all the amazing services we offer to the community, from adoptions to resources. Don't worry, we'll help you become a whiz in no time!
- Guide families with care: Be there to discuss different options, including alternative surrender choices and end-of-life support, with empathy and understanding. We'll equip you with the skills and resources to navigate these sensitive conversations effectively.
- You’ll also sprinkle kindness everywhere you go – it’s part of our mission! From animals and guests to volunteers and staff, your exceptional warmth will make a difference.
