Job Description
If you're looking for a temporary roommate who you can shower with lots of love and affection, then you have come to the right place!
We're looking for dedicated animal lovers who would be willing to open their hearts and their homes to animals in need. By becoming a foster parent, you get to provide the tender love and care an animal needs to thrive and grow before it is ready to be adopted. This may include newborn puppies or kittens who must be bottle fed, pregnant or nursing dogs or cats, or even sick or injured adult animals.
It won't cost you a dime, just some of your free time!
Commitment
Every foster situation is different! Some animals may need a place to crash for several days or weeks.
Principle Duties and Responsibilites
Become a superhero to the animals and help then flourish as they wait to find their new homes!
You provide the temporary lodging, love, attention, and a ride to and from the SPCA, and we'll provide the veterinary care and any other supplies needed to help your foster pet heal and grow!
Every rescue, every adoption, every happy bark, purr, and squeak - that's what drives us here at the SPCA. We all share the same values and goals and believe that every volunteer should feel the same! Everyone's help makes a difference for animals!
Requirements
Even if you're new to the incredible world of animal care, don't fret! We'll get you started on the right path with the knowledge and skills you may need to become an expert animal caregiver. The first step is to just make sure an animal (even a temporary one) is allowed in your home!
Already have a few pets of your own? That's not a problem, as long as they're open to having a new house guest!
You'll also sprinkle kindness everywhere you go - it's part of our mission! From animals and guests to volunteers and staff, your exceptional warmth will make a difference.
Let's be an incredible team - you willingness to work with and respectfully communicate with out fantastic staff and volunteers is the key to success!
