Job Description

The SPCA's Petique is our in-shelter pet supply store, and we need your help! Our Petique volunteers are like personal shoppers, but for pets and their owners! They help pet parents choose the perfect toys, treats, comfy beds, and more. They also keep the place sparkling and stocked, so everything's ready for shoppers!

Commitment

Got a free day each week to lend a hand between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.? If you do, this could be the perfect spot for you!

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Tech whiz? Become a cash register pro! Put your skills to good use and become a master of the cash register! Help customers complete their pet-shopping sprees with a smile and a friendly chat.
  • Keep the fun flowing with restocking and tidying: There's never a dull moment at the Petique! When you're not helping happy adopters, you'll be keeping the shelves stocked with all the goodies pets need. Think colorful squeaky toys, tempting treats, and comfy beds in every size. Plus, a little light cleaning here and there keeps the place looking spiffy!
  • Every rescue, every adoption, every happy bark, purr, and squeak – that's what drives us here at the SPCA. We all share the same values and goals and believe that every volunteer should feel the same! Everyone’s help makes a difference for animals!

  • Put your customer service, money handling, and retail talents to good use and make a difference in the lives of pets and their families!
  • You’ll also sprinkle kindness everywhere you go – it’s part of our mission! From animals and guests to volunteers and staff, your exceptional warmth will make a difference.
  • Let’s be an awesome team – your willingness to work with and respectfully communicate with our fantastic staff and volunteers is the key to success!
