Job Description

Join our amazing team of volunteers! In this role, you'll be a superhero for our Animal Care Department, helping with the tasks of caring for, cleaning, and enriching the lives of our amazing cats or dogs – it's all about spreading kindness and making a positive impact!

Commitment

We are looking for someone to work until they finish, starting at 8 a.m. and going until noon at the latest. Principle

Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for volunteers who would be interested in working in our Dog Kennels, Cat Condo Rooms or with the other cats throughout the building!

You will be in one area consistently and will be expected to ensure proper cleanliness and set up for each animal as you are trained so they can be nice and comfy while they await their furrever home!

If you work with our cats, you will get to feed our excited friends their proper diet!

Once you are done, and as you are cleaning, you can spend some time with our cuddly friends enriching them and making their days a little brighter.

Requirements

  • Ability to work around animals in all conditions and be aware of how to move around them, handle them, and be aware of your surroundings consistently!
  • Get ready for some action! Stretch, twist, squat, and bend – you’ve got to have moves that keep things exciting!
  • Flex those muscles as you independently lift and push items ranging from 20 to 50 pounds. You've got this!
  • Embrace the hustle and bustle of our lively shelter, navigating tasks with a smile and rocking it independently.
  • Navigate tight, crowded spaces like a pro, even if the surfaces get a bit slippery!
  • Exceptional kindness to all animals, guests, volunteers, and staff per our core mission.
  • A willingness to work with and respectfully communicate with all staff and volunteers.
