We maintain a confidential register of patients, carers, and family who are interested in improving the patient and staff experience across Monash Health.

This is a voluntary role and you can accept or decline any offer to participate, depending on your interest and availability. 

There are many ways to be involved, from reviewing patient information to being on a committee.

If you wish to apply to be a Consumer Advisor, please fill out an application form on the right hand side of this page.

To be eligible for the Consumer Advisor Program you must:

  • have experience of Monash Health services as either a patient, carer, or family member of a patient
  • not be a current Monash Health Staff member/employee
  • be triple vaccinated for COVID 19
  • be interested in health service improvement
  • be willing to contribute on a voluntary basis
  • not represent an organisation or business interest
  • be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement
  • be willing to comply with relevant Monash Health's policies, procedures, values and code of conduct
  • be willing to undertake orientation and training as required
  • be willing to undertake a Police Check and Working with Children Check (please note previous convictions do not necessarily exclude you from being involved and will be considered on a case by case basis)
  • be willing to provide the name and contact details of two (2) referees who have supervised you in a volunteer or paid position or can discuss your skills and attributes.
