Three ways you can help us offer our best
~ Volunteer ~ Join our team ~ Pray ~
Similarly to the entire senior living sector, Presbyterian Homes is navigating the current workforce challenges in a number of different ways. We have implemented an extensive array of initiatives to meet this challenge, and will continue to do so.
We are inspired by the prayer and support of our residents, their families, and our volunteers. Now, we invite you to prayerfully consider three ways you can join us in this endeavor, especially when the need is great and the people who benefit are your neighbors.
1. Support our staff as a volunteer
Our mission is made possible in part by the support of such volunteers working side-by-side with our employees. While volunteer service is unique to the needs of each community, we are expanding volunteer opportunities and you will find some of the ways volunteers can help listed below. Specific tasks are determined by the needs of the community. Volunteer hours are flexible and hours served will be recorded. Appropriate training will be provided for each volunteer role and task. When you offer your gifts of time and talent to serve others, you are extending God’s grace in its various forms.
2. Join our team as an employee
Residents and family members are welcome to apply for positions in full time, part time or on-call capacities. Hours are flexible and, while training is provided, many positions do not require special certification or licensing. Visit https://www.preshomes.org/careers.
3. Pray with us
Prayer sustains and anchors our ministry. So, we invite you to join us as “People of Prayer,” a special call to all our residents, families, friends and employees asking God to send workers and volunteers for such a time as this.
Please consider any or all of the above, that we may continue to
fulfill our ministry and mission with God’s richest blessings.

Our organization's mission is to honor God by enriching the lives and touching the hearts of older adults.
We honor each volunteer’s generosity, seek to understand their individual talents, and find the right match for their unique gift of time. Volunteers are often described as the glue that holds a community together. At Presbyterian Homes & Services, volunteers provide the extra care and hours of service that make all the difference to our residents, customers and their families.
Volunteers may enjoy very visible roles (such as calling Bingo or leading music) or their gift may be behind the scenes (such as data entry). Through our many care options and services, opportunities abound for volunteers to use their time and talent to benefit the lives of others.
Research shows that volunteering provides individual health and social benefits to the volunteer as well. Truly, the choice to volunteer provides a blessing to all.
