Ely Cathedral is a Christian Church offering daily worship and a place of prayer and sanctity. It is the seat of the Bishop of Ely and the mother church of over 300 parishes that make up the Diocese of Ely. The Cathedral is also a historical monument, built to the glory of God, which welcomes thousands of pilgrims and visitors every year.
We are delighted to have 350 + volunteers, from a wide variety of backgrounds, who support our ongoing mission and work.

Ely Cathedral Octagon Singers
Ely Cathedral Octagon Singers (ECOS) is our adult voluntary choir. Those with choral experience and good vocal skills are especially suited for this role.
As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to undergo an informal friendly audition.

Day Chaplain
Join our Chaplaincy Team and be pro-active in greeting visitors, listening to their concerns as well as encouraging them to engage spiritually with the Cathedral.
Please note: Only individuals who are ordained or a licensed minister of a denomination within Churches Together in England may offer for this ministry.

Provide a warm welcome in this visitor facing retail role, sharing the stories behind our products and supporting the smooth operation of the Cathedral Shop.
