Front desk: Ensure that clients are signing in when they arrive, answering questions they may have if they have not been to the pantry before. Verifying commodity cards or creating one if they do not have one. Checking voicemails and returning calls as needed, retrieving hygiene items for clients visiting the pantry. Training will be provided prior to a volunteer being asked to work at the front desk independently.
