Graphic Design and Social Media - Graphic Design & Social Media Creator-Volunteer
We are seeking a creative and dedicated volunteer to assist our Health and Wellness Team by providing graphic design and social media content creation services. This remote role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in digital marketing while contributing positively to CHCKW’s community health initiatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities encompass various tasks that contribute to the overall success and impact of the Health and Wellness Program:
- Create engaging graphics and visual content for our CHCKW’s campaigns, events, and promotions.
- Work closely with the Health and Wellness Team to maintain brand consistency across all visual media.
- Develop regular posts for platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
- Assist in the planning and execution of digital marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with other volunteers and staff to gather information and materials for content creation.
- Update the monthly Health and Wellness calendar.
QUALIFICATIONS /REQUIRED SKILLS
- Demonstrate commitment to fostering equity, inclusion, and diversity.
- Experience or strong interest in graphic design and social media management.
- Proficiency with graphic design software (e.g. Canva).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and analytics tools.
SUPERVISION
- Each Volunteer will be assigned a staff supervisor.
- The staff supervisor or a designated staff will be available (either in person or by phone) if a question or issue arises.
- The Volunteer is also encouraged to connect with the staff supervisor at any time to discuss an idea or issue as they arise.
ORIENTATION/TRAINING
- Complete the CHCKW Volunteer Application Form.
- Volunteers are required to submit the following before beginning their position: 2 References.
- Complete Volunteer orientation training modules and read required policies.
EVALUATION:
- Volunteers receive ongoing performance feedback from their staff supervisor and/or the Volunteer Coordinator. Volunteers can provide and request feedback as required.
- Volunteers are encouraged to participate in the annual Volunteer Experience Survey.
TIME COMMITMENT, REQUIRED HOURS & LOCATION
Time Commitment: 2 months
Required Hours: 2-3 hours per week
Location: 44 Francis Street South, Kitchener
