About the Program
Aldinga Community Centre is a vibrant Centre that offers a range of services, activities and programs for Aldinga and surrounding suburbs. The Centre is mainly staffed by volunteers and works towards building and strengthening the community.
Our Pottery participants create clay pieces by hand or a pottery wheel. Materials are provided at a cost to the participant. It is a relaxed environment where creativity is supported and encouraged by everyone.
Key Tasks
- Support the running the Pottery program.
- Provide support to participants with their creative works.
- Assisting with set up and pack down.
- Ability to advocate on behalf of program participants.
Skills/Knowledge/Personal Qualities
- Knowledge in the use of clay, glazes, pottery techniques and experience or willingness to learn how to use a kiln.
- Creativity.
- Friendly and personable.
Special Requirements
The successful applicant must possess and provide a Department of Human Services (DHS) ‘not prohibited’ Working with Children Check prior to commencement.
The successful applicant must be prepared to undertake Child Safe Environment training.
Time Commitment
Any of the following:
- Tuesdays 9am–12pm
- Wednesdays 5–8pm
- Fridays 9am–12pm
