About the Centre
Wakefield House Positive Ageing Centre provides fresh meals & takeaway frozen meals five days a week to the community – soup, main, and dessert.
Lunch is served daily at 12.
Key Tasks
- Support the healthy Eating facilitator
- Food preparation
- Food presentation
- Cleaning & maintenance of food utensils
- Operating the industrial dishwasher
Skills/Knowledge/Personal Qualities
- Experience in kitchen duties
- Excellent hygiene practices
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and manage time
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to relate to a diverse range of people
Time Commitment
Monday, Thursday or Friday, 9.00 am -1.30 pm
Special Requirements
- Must possess and provide a Department of Human Services (DHS) clearance (Aged Care Sector) and (NDIS Worker check) prior to offer of employment. These can be organised for you.
- Food Safety training
