Volunteer as a Postpartum Angel and visit postnatal families in their homes during the fourth trimester. Offer valuable emotional support, mentorship, and an extra set of helping hands.

Facilitator at the Baby & Caregiver Meetups
Volunteer to host our weekly Baby & Caregiver Meetup, held at various times and locations around Central Vermont.

Do you have office skills you could share with us? Volunteer to spend time at the Good Beginnings office to help out with organizational tasks, data entry, and open hours of The Nest.
Tabling at Community Events
Help us spread the word about Good Beginnings' offerings by staffing an informational table at events.

Our Mission:
Good Beginnings of Central Vermont is a nonprofit offering in-home support, accessible education, and meaningful connections for parents and caregivers prenatally through the postpartum period.
Our Vision:
Focus on the Parent - We view personalized care and social support as critical for parents and other caregivers of babies. Peer and social support positively contributes to a caregiver's mental health, resilience, and ability to support their child(ren)'s growth and development.
Community - Our model builds direct and lasting connections among community members, and therefore contributes to community resilience and vitality.
Inclusivity - We embrace and celebrate all families, regardless of the parent or caregiver's gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, income, or marital status.
Respectful and Nonjudgemental Support - We honor each families decision about whether and how to accept help. We honor parents' right to choose from a wide variety of parenting styles, and we deliver our services in a way that is respectful of each family's choices.
