Our volunteers are vital in supporting the Museum's work. Sign up to our volunteering mailing list to be notified when opportunities become available.
More than 500 people donate their time to engage visitors in our galleries and support our scientists and collections. Our volunteering, internship and work experience programmes are designed to inspire and benefit those taking part as much as they support the Museum. All opportunities have flexible commitment requirements and aim to provide a rewarding and enriching experience for all.
The Museum wants to help individuals develop new skills through volunteering, improving their career prospects and developing the vision of a future where both people and the planet thrive. We aim to engage the widest possible audience and involve volunteers in our mission in creating advocates for the planet. Volunteers in turn make a real difference to the Museum, investing their time, energy and talent in us
