3. Arts Development - Arts blog and e-Newsletter Editor
Poole Arts Service is looking for a volunteer to join our volunteer web team (currently a team of two). The team is responsible for regularly updating our Tumblr bog, editing our fortnightly Mailchimp e-newsletter and linking to Twitter. Our e-newsletter currently has over 200 subscribers and provides up to date information on a range of arts news, funding, opportunities and events across the Poole area.
Full training and support will be given. All information will be taken from items of news generated in-house or sent in by the local arts community.
You should have experience of using online blog / email marketing software and be familiar with social media. A good working knowledge of MailChimp, Tumblr and Twitter would be ideal, however training will be given on these. General interest in the arts and good local knowledge would be an advantage but not essential.
You should be able to work on your own initiative and be able to meet deadlines. The successful applicant will be fully supported by Poole Arts Service staff.
This is an office-based position and office equipment / internet access will be provided at Poole museum. However if you have access to your own equipment you may be able to do some of the work from home.
Time and Date:
Our Tumblr blog is updated regularly, and the work can be undertaken daily or at convenient times throughout the week Our Mailchimp newsletter goes out fortnightly (currently on a Thursday) and content is generated through Tumblr. Exact days / times are flexible, although once agreed we would prefer for hours to be regular.
Location: Poole Museum
Disabled Access: Poole Museum has lift access to all floors. This position is flexible and can be undertaken remotely if required.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Successful applicants will have an informal discussion with Culture Volunteers Poole and undergo a trial period prior to being accepted
