Local Ambassador (in-person experience)
Get to know an amazing social change leader from another part of the world and help them feel at home in a new country and city
Overview: A Local Ambassador is a dedicated "first friend" who is paired with an incoming Atlas Corps Fellow in the same city for the first four months of the Fellowship. Local Ambassadors serve as on-the-ground support who help the Fellows adjust to the city, navigate through local culture, and meet up with them in-person or virtually once per month for a fun activity. In the past, Fellows and Local Ambassadors have gone hiking, visited museums, explored new restaurants, and attended networking events.
Time Commitment: 2 - 4 hours per month with a commitment of at least 4 months.
Expectations: We ask that you check in with the Fellow at least once per month, although twice is recommended.
Apply now! We are currently recruiting volunteers who will be matched with Fellows arriving in July or October. For April, we need volunteers located in DC or Dallas. For July, we need volunteers who are located in DC or the San Francisco Bay area.
