Los Dichos Site Coordinator

Los Dichos Site Coordinators provide leadership and training at her/his school for the successful delivery of the Los Dichos program. In addition to role modeling and building positive social interactions with adults and students, site coordinators work closely with school staff to obtain books, ensure availability of program materials, and arrange for a meeting room and storage area. The site coordinator also manages readers by recruiting volunteers, assigning volunteers to classrooms, and hosting monthly meetings at school site to distribute and explain lesson plans to the readers. Site coordinators report to Project Cornerstone on school-wide volunteer activity by insuring accurate monthly reporting and verifying volunteers have met requirements to participate in the program.

Times: August to May of the current school year, time commitment of five to seven hours a month.

Requirements: Project Cornerstone volunteer application, school district requirements, Take It Personally or Assets 101 training, attend monthly Project Cornerstone trainings to review the book and lesson plan for the upcoming month.
