Volunteer Role: Tuesday or Thursday Morning Expressive Art Support Group
Tuesdays or Thursdays | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

The Tues/Thurs Morning Expressive Art Group is a creative, therapeutic space where participants use art as a way to explore emotions, reflect on personal experiences, and build connection in community. This group centers on process over product and invites gentle self-expression in a supportive environment.

Volunteers arrive at 10:00 AM for a brief check-in and to help prepare the space and materials. The group typically runs from 10:30–11:30 AM, guided by a structured prompt or theme. The final half hour is dedicated to clean up, check-out, and sharing any relevant observations with staff.

No clinical background is required. This is not about leading therapy. It is about helping hold a steady, welcoming space. Volunteers assist with materials, model participation when appropriate, offer encouragement, and help maintain a respectful and calm group environment.

This role is a great fit for someone who:

• Feels comfortable sitting with feelings and listening without trying to fix
