HeART of Survival - Photo Voice Workshop

PhotoVoice Project Volunteer

Join CityHeART in creating and facilitating a PhotoVoice project that centers community storytelling through photography and dialogue. PhotoVoice is a participatory process where neighbors use images to document their lived experiences, reflect on themes that matter to them, and share their perspectives in a way that sparks connection and awareness.

This volunteer role includes helping design the project structure, supporting participants in capturing and selecting photos, co-facilitating small group reflection sessions, and assisting with a final showcase or publication of the work. Volunteers will collaborate closely with the CityHeART team to ensure the space feels grounded, ethical, and story-centered.

The total commitment is approximately 20 hours, spread over 2–3 months, allowing for planning, facilitation, and wrap-up. We are looking for volunteers who can listen deeply, honor lived experience, and support others in telling their stories with dignity and care. No professional photography experience is required—just a respect for the power of story and a willingness to show up consistently.
