Trail Ambassador Program
Volunteers have been hiking and biking the trails owned and managed by MetroParks since the inception of the park system in 1955. Today, MetroParks maintains over 30 miles of hiking trails, 20 miles of biking trails, and 9 miles of horse trails.
The role of a Trail Ambassador is to act as an extension of MetroParks by providing information and assistance to trail users, promoting safe trail use, assisting in trail maintenance, and reporting safety issues. Trail Ambassadors are an extra set of eyes on the trails and more “boots on the ground.”
