Education - Pioneer Life: Program Assistant
Event Description:
Travel back in time to early 1800s Ohio at Governor Bebb MetroParks' historic Pioneer Village. Immerse yourself in the daily life of Midwest pioneers as you taste traditional foods, learn skills that time forgot, meet historic interpreters, play games, and make candles.
Task:
Assist with the setup. Lead/assist with hands-on living history stations, including pioneer tools and weapons, cooking, games, and other daily aspects of life in a village in the 1800s. Please specify preferences for specific areas/topics (if any), eagerness to dress in 1800's historical clothing (not mandatory), and if you will provide your own historical outfit.

We will work through light rain, but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. Please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations:
The MetroParks may provide accommodation for volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
