Education - Oxford Hike-a-Thon
Event Description:
Hike-A-Thon in Oxford, Ohio signals an official goodbye to summer and an enthusiastic hello to autumn while celebrating the progress of Oxford Area Trails and Miami University Natural Area Trails! This event is fun for all ages, pet-friendly (don’t forget a leash!), and wheelchair accessible. Pick up your route map at the information booth to choose self-guided or guided educational hikes. If you’re feeling a challenge, take an optional unpaved route for nature trail hiking. No matter the path you choose, bask in the sounds and sights of nature with friends and family while exploring the many trails surrounding Oxford.

Saturday, September 12th, 8:30 am-1:30 pm Dewitt Trailhead in Oxford 4831 Oxford Trenton Rd Oxford, OH 45056
Task:
Help set up activities on table, meet n greet participants, advertise upcoming programs, clean up table and load up supplies.
Weather:
We will work through light rain and snow but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. Please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations:
The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
