Education - Butler County Water Festival - Fossils
Event Description:
Every fall, the Miami University Hamilton Campus comes alive for the Children’s Water Fest, a fun, hands-on event that’s been inspiring kids for over 25 years!
Kids dive into interactive activities, meet live birds of prey from Raptors Incorporated, and learn from local experts including the Cincinnati Zoo, Newport Aquarium, Ohio EPA, Ohio DNR, and more. The festival highlights the importance of water and protecting our precious groundwater while mixing science, music, and lots of fun.
Dates, Times, and Location:
Friday, Oct 16th, 9:00am-3:00pm Miami University Hamilton Campus 1601 University Blvd, Hamilton, OH 45011
Task:
Help set up and clean up stations, shadow staff, assist with students during activities.
Weather:
We will work through light rain and snow but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. Please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations:
The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
