Task:

We will go over the standards and expectations, as well as the time commitments, for those interested in service as Programming Volunteers, and the newly revised lesson plan used during the field trips. This training is required for new volunteers and highly encouraged for returning programming volunteers wishing to serve with our Programming Staff on Field Trips. New volunteers will also need to meet with the Manager of Volunteer Resources before they can serve in an actual field trip.

Volunteers must be 18 and older. (Younger volunteers may also participate, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)

Volunteers are not required to attend all of the trainings and may select those that match their interests.

Weather:

We will work through light rain and snow, but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather.  Please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.

Accommodations:

The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins.
