Conservation & Operations Projects - Community Service Days - Tree Planting
Event Description:
Join our Natural Resources crew for a day of tree planting as we work to expand our native forests! we are looking to plant trees ranging in size from 1-4ft tall. This event is open to both individuals and groups of all ages
Dates Times and Location:
- Saturday, April 19th, 10:00am - 1:00pm, Angst NAture Preserve MetroPark 4050 Trenton-Oxford Road Hamilton OH 45011
- Saturday, April 26th, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, Timberman Ridge MetroPark, 1976 Timberman Rd, Hamilton OH 45013
What to Wear & Bring:
- Long pants
- Sturdy, closed-toed shoes
- Weather-appropriate clothing and layers (Warm jacket, rain jacket, hat, extra layer, etc.)
- Sunglasses (Optional; For sun protection during outside activities.)
- Work gloves (Optional; Available through MetroParks.)
- Water bottle (we will have a refill station avalible)
- Snacks
- It is recommended you bring your tools but we will have tools avalible
Weather:
We will work through light rain and snow but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations:
The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
