Naturalist & Educational Programs - Spring Open House

Event Description:

Step back in time to the early 1800s as you take a self-guided walk through the Pioneer Village. A few of the cabins will be open to explore, with educators on site in historic dress to help with activities and answer any questions.

Task:

This opportunity is only for volunteers 18 and older

We are looking for volunteers to help serve by helping open, sweep, and set up cabins.  Talk with participants.   Help keep an eye on supplies in the cabins.   Sweep cabins afterthe  program.  

Dates Times and Location:

  • Saturday, April 19th 12:00 pm-3:30 am, Governor Bebb MetroPark (1300 Hunter Rd, Fairfield, OH 45014)

Weather: 

We will work through light rain and snow but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather.  please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.

 

Accommodations: 

The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
