Education - Friends of Chrisholm Cellar and Barn Tour
Event Description:
Join MetroParks and Friends of Chrisholm for a rare opportunity to view the cellar of Chrisholm with its vaulted ceiling sub-cellar, and the large Pennsylvania German historic bank barn.
The event will kick off at 1pm with a short talk on the functional role of cellars on historical farmsteads and bank barns. As staggered groups visit the cellar and barn, the house will remain open as is customary for the Friends of Chrisholm’s 3rd Saturday of the month open House events.
Dates, Times, and Location:
Saturday, September 19th, 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm Chrisholm MetroPark, 2070 Woodsdale Road, Trenton OH 45067
Task:
Assist staff in meet n greet participants, ensure everyone is safe while walking through the barn, and help clean up.
Weather:
We will work through light rain and snow but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. Please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations:
The MetroParks may provide accommodations to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
