Education - Active in the Outdoors: Beginner Stand-Up Paddle Board

Event Description:

This is the perfect way to dip your toes into the world of stand-up paddle boarding (SUP). Learn how to launch, stand up, and maintain balance in this introductory class, led by In the Flow Paddling Company. Paddle board, PFD, and anchor are provided.

Dates, Times, and Location:

Saturday, August 15th, 11:00 am-1:30 pm                                                                      Voice of America MetroPark 7850 VOA Park Drive, West Chester OH 45069

Task:

Meet n greet participants, assist the facilitator with equipment, participate in the program, and help clean up.   

Weather: 

We will work through light rain, but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. Please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.

 

Accommodations: 

The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
