Education - Monarch Tagging
Event Description:
Do you know what makes monarch butterflies unique from other insects? Join us to learn about these amazing animals and see how to safely capture, tag, and release them to help ensure future generations.
Dates, Times, and Location:
Saturday, September 19th, 9:30 am-11:30 am Huffman Park 2100 John Gray Rd, Fairfield, OH 45014
Task:
Assist staff in setting up information, stations, crowd control, data input, release of butterflies.
Weather:
We will work through light rain and snow but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. Please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations:
The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
