Group Projects - Structure Painting

To Schedule this project for your group please send an email to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at Volunteering@yourmetroparks.net

Tasks:  Work with MetroParks Operation Staff as we repaint and reseal different structures and benches around the parks to make sure they last for years to come. 
Group size/age restrictions: This project can be completed in groups ranging in size from 5-20 volunteers; and can be completed by both adult and youth groups with parental supervision.
Available Dates/project length:   This project can be completed March 1st through May 31st (dependent on weather and availability of materials)
Project Locations: 
  • Sebald MetroPark (Trenton)
  • Timberhill MetroPark (Hamilton)
  • Great Miami River Trail (Hamilton)
  • Voice of America MetroPark (West Chester)
  • Timberman Ridge MetroPark (Hamilton)
What to Wear & Bring:
  • Long pants
  • Sturdy, closed-toed shoes
  • Weather-appropriate clothing and layers (Warm jacket, rain jacket, hat, extra layer, etc.)
  • Sunglasses (Optional; For sun protection during outside activities.)
  • Work gloves (Optional; Available through MetroParks.)
  • Water bottle (we will have a refill station avalible)
  • Snacks
  • MetroParks will provide all other tools necessary to complete the tasks for the day.
Weather: We will work through light rain but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather.  please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
 
Accommodations: The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins.
