Education - Rooted Living: Goat Husbandry

Event Description:

Interested in learning more about the most versatile livestock? This class will cover the basics of caring for goats. You'll learn about feeding, housing, health, and handling, along with tips for understanding goat behavior. Perfect for beginners, this course builds confidence and practical skills for raising happy, healthy goats.

Task:

Help set up and clean up stations, shadow staff, assist with participants during activities.

Times and Locations:

Sunday, June 14, 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Chrisholm MetroPark, (2070 Woodsdale Road, Trenton OH 45067)

Weather:

We will work through light rain but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather.  please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.

 

Accommodations: 

The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
