Education - Fossil Expedition - Field Trip

Event Description:
The evidence for ancient life is right here under our feet! Become paleontologists for a day as you hike out to search our fossil-filled creek beds, discovering Ohio's surprising past along the way. This program involves a hike up to one mile with changes in elevation and uneven terrain.
Task:
Volunteers will be provided with a written lesson plan to understand all aspects of the field trip beforehand, and will be asked to assist with the program setup and teardown of activity spaces, and assist in the lesson presentation.
Location:
Rentschler Forest MetroPark (5701 Reigart Road, Hamilton OH 45011)
Weather:
We will work through light rain but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations:
The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
