Education - Backyard Stargazing
Event Description: Wish you could look up in the night sky and point to more than just the North Star? Are you even sure that's the North Star? Become a backyard stargazer as we discover the legends, science, and tricks to finding constellations in the night sky without equipment. Leave this family-friendly program prepared to wow your friends with your new astronomical knowledge as you point out your favorite winter constellations.
Task: Assist staff in setting up, checking in participants, and helping staff as needed during the program, and cleaning up.
Dates, Times, and Location: Saturday. March 7th, 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm, Fairfield Community Arts Center (411 Wessel Dr, Fairfield, OH 45014)
Weather:
We will work through light rain, but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. Please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations:
The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins.
