Education - Winter Bird Festival

Event Description:                                                                                                

Join us at Fernald Preserve this winter to learn about the wildlife that call Fernald home during February — owls, waterfowl, shorebirds, raptors, and more. We’ll offer classes and speakers about the many interesting species, and hikes to explore our beautiful winter migration destination.

Task:

Meet n greet participants, help with tabling type activities, set up and tear down table and program supplies.  

Weather: 

We will work through light rain and snow but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather.  Please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.

 

Accommodations: 

The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
