Education - Nature in a Blink: Woodcock Watch
Event Description:
Love is in the air! Enjoy the sights and sounds of the mating display of the American Woodcock during this crepuscular (early evening) hike. Learn about the mysterious lifestyle of this shorebird and its many names, such as timberdoodle and bog sucker.
Task:
Assist staff in setting up signs, meet n greet participants, hike sweepers.

Thursday, March 12th, 7:00 pm -9:00 PM

Weather:
We will work through light rain but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations:
The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
