Conservation - Community Service Day - Gilmore Cleanup
Join MetroParks staff as we work to clean up litter along the Wetland trail at Gilmore Ponds MetroPark
Date & Duration: Saturday, June 22, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Meeting Location: Miami Woods (450 New London Rd, Hamilton, OH 45013)
Tasks: we'll be working with grabbers and garbabge bags collecting any litter we find along the Wetland Trail. Feel free to bring your own tools, or you can borrow ours.
What to Wear & Bring:
- 'work' clothes (long sleeve shirts and long pants are preferred)
- Sturdy, closed-toed shoes
- Weather-appropriate clothing and layers (Warm jacket, rain jacket, hat, extra layer, etc.)
- Sunglasses (Optional; For sun protection during outside activities.)
- Work gloves (Optional; Available through MetroParks.)
- Water bottle (we will have a refill station avalible)
- Snacks
- MetroParks will provide all other tools necessary to complete the tasks for the day.
Weather: We will work through light rain but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations: The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
