Education - Food from the Farm - Field Trip
If you are interested in helping with field trips but have not previously attended Field Trip Training, please email volunteering@yourmetroparks.net.
Event Description:
Students will tour the historic farmstead meeting animal ambassadors and using real tools. They will learn how farms turn energy and resources into the food we eat.
Task:
MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING WITH FARM ANIMALS
Volunteers will be provided with a written lesson plan to understand all aspects of the field trip beforehand, and will be asked to assist with the program setup and teardown of activity spaces, and assist in the lesson presentation.

Weather:
We will work through light rain but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations:
The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
