Recreation - Trail Work Days
Event Description: Join MetroParks staff to do trail work on our trails, developing more sustainable trails, and improving hiking conditions for all park users for future generations to come. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. All tools will be provided
Date & Location: (Locations will be announced at the beginning of each week. All work days are broken into 2-hour shifts; select as many as you would like!)

- Wednesday, September 9, 9:30 am - 3:30 pm - Davidson Woods
- Wednesday, September 16, 9:30 am - 3:30 pm - Davidson Woods
- Wednesday, September 23, 9:30 am - 3:30 pm - Davidson Woods
- Wednesday, September 30, 9:30 am - 3:30 pm - Davidson Woods
What to Wear & Bring:
- Long pants
- Sturdy, closed-toed shoes
- Weather-appropriate clothing and layers (Warm jacket, rain jacket, hat, extra layer, etc.)
- Sunglasses (Optional; For sun protection during outside activities.)
- Work gloves (Optional; Available through MetroParks.)
- Water bottle (we will have a refill station avalible)
- Snacks
- MetroParks will provide all other tools necessary to complete the tasks for the day.
Weather:
We will work through light rain but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. Please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations:
The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins.
