Pastoral Care Volunteer

Pastoral and Spiritual Care

At Juniper we are all about individualised care, keeping our residents connected to the people, passions and places they’ve always loved.

Our welcoming and compassionate pastoral and spiritual care team is here to connect residents with what brings them joy, offering them comfort and support, and a listening ear when they need it. We are about providing holistic care to support residents emotional and spiritual wellbeing, ensuring they feel valued, respected, and heard through life’s ups and downs.

Everyone connects in different ways, and we love to hear what’s meaningful to each of our residents—whether that’s nature, creativity, relationships, or something greater.

Pastoral Care Volunteers work alongside Juniper Chaplains to provide pastoral and spiritual support for residents. Offering a range of individual and group activities across special interest areas; cultural groups; chapel services; dementia-specific support; grief support and more. Creating a sense of belonging and helping residents to connect with others.

Pastoral Care Volunteers are offered Specialised training and ongoing support to help them deliver meaningful engagement with our residents.
