Volunteer

The repair Cafés is a free meeting places focused on repairing things, together, where you as a volunteer can help to keep the day running smoothly and will help with the setting up for the day as well as meeting and greeting customers as they bring their repairs.  

You will also help to direct the repairers when they arrive and to help them with any set up needed.  

There will be a mix of expert and skilled amateur volunteers, with repair capabilities in all kinds of fields at each of the cafes which happen monthly.  

Residents can bring broken items from home and together with the specialists, they can start making repairs in the Repair Café. There will be a cafe on site for people to enjoy, with the help of the Women's Institute (WI) and you will receive a free hot drink and slice of cake as our way of saying thank you for volunteering.  

Whether you can help every month or every now and then, we appreciate every volunteer that helps to keep this running.   

If you have tools or equipment that you would like to bring along, then please do so, along with any extension leads.
