Grocery Distribution Intake & Check-In Volunteer
The Intake and Check-In Volunteer plays a vital role in one of the Pike Market Food Bank’s core programs. Every client visiting for grocery service must check in or register, making this role critical in creating a welcoming and organized environment. Volunteers in this position help ensure that new and returning clients feel respected, informed, and supported, setting the tone for a positive grocery shopping experience.
This is a client-facing role that is ideal for volunteers with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping the community. Previous customer service and/or social service experience is a plus!
Shifts: Tuesdays 11 am -3 pm, Wednesday 3 pm - 5 pm, Thursday 12 pm - 3 pm; Background check required
