Social Services - Food Pantry Case Worker Intern
This opportunity will train the individual how to provide case work to individuals that are receiving emergency food service and/or participating in the NOW Program (Nutritional Options for Wellness) through The Salvation Army Social Services Food Pantry. The intern will learn how to meet with clients and assist them with their food needs, community referrals and nutrition education. This individual will also work one-on-one with clients to assist them in applying for benefits with MIBridges. This individual will also participate in pantry data collection and analysis. Opportunities will also be available to engage members of the Community Food Club of Greater Grand Rapids. The Food Pantry Case Worker Intern works under the supervision of Darcy Cunningham. The Internship has flexible start dates.
