Earth Day Volunteer Extravaganza: Lead Volunteer for Drop-in Trash Pickup
Dane County’s Earth Day Volunteer Extravaganza is taking place on Tuesday, April 22 from 2-6pm. There will be a variety of volunteer shifts throughout the event, including trash pickup along Lake Waubesa which will be a drop-in role
This role will supervise drop-in Trash Pickup volunteers by handing out bags, gloves, and pickers and directing volunteers where to look for trash and where to bring trash when they finish. You will be supervising a wide variety of ages and abilities, so it is important that you are friendly and informative. We will give you all the information that you need to know prior to this event.
How to Prepare:
What to Bring:
- Suggested: a water bottle.
- Anything else you need to be comfortable for your shift (chair will be provided but feel free to bring your own).
What to Wear:
- Wear clothing appropriate for the weather.
Accessibility:
- There will be bathroom access and a water fountain.
- There is an indoor space to warm up if the weather is cold.
