Earth Day Volunteer Extravaganza: Native Plant Transplanting
Dane County’s Earth Day Volunteer Extravaganza is taking place on Wednesday, April 22 from 2-5pm. There will be a variety of volunteer shifts, including a team of volunteers transplanting native plants.
Volunteers will help transplant native plant seedlings into pots and trays. Activities could include filling pots with potting mix (standing, lifting) or transplanting the seedlings into the pots (seated). A Dane County Parks staff person or volunteer will direct you. This is an indoor opportunity and could be a standing or seated role. Volunteers in this role must be 12 and over.

What to Bring:
- Suggested: a water bottle.
- Anything else you need to be comfortable for your shift.
- Tools will be provided.
What to Wear:
- Wear clothing appropriate for the weather.
- Wear closed-toed shoes.
Accessibility:
- There will be bathroom access and a water fountain.
- This is an indoor opportunity and could be a standing or seated role.
