Dane County’s Earth Day Volunteer Extravaganza is taking place on Tuesday, April 22 from 2-6pm. There will be a variety of volunteer shifts throughout the event.

This role will assist a DCP staff person at the Volunteer Check-in Table, checking in volunteers when they arrive for their shift and directing them where to go. There may be educational and event-specific materials to hand out, directions to give, and other important pieces of information to share with folks as they come in. You will be one of the first faces that visitors see, so it is important that you are friendly and informative. We will give you all the information that you need to know prior to this event.

What to Bring:

• Suggested: a water bottle.
• Anything else you need to be comfortable for your shift (chair will be provided but feel free to bring your own). 

What to Wear: 

• Wear clothing appropriate for the weather.

Accessibility: 

• There will be bathroom access and a water fountain.
• There is an indoor space to warm up if the weather is cold.  
• Our department is committed to providing meaningful access to our programs and resources to all individuals, regardless of primary language or ability. If you need language assistance services or an accessibility modification for this program, including reserving our all-terrain wheelchair, please submit this request form a minimum of 10 business days before the event to make the request.
