Independent Volunteering: Native Seed Sowing
This activity is for volunteers interested in prairie planting and seed sowing. Interested volunteers must connect with staff prior to sowing.
Recommended Qualifications: DCP Certified Land Steward and/or Master Gardener

This activity can occur at any Dane County Parks property. View our Natural Areas webpage for more information. There, you can also view a map of our current Restoration Projects.
How to Prepare:
- Volunteers interested in this activity should:
- Consider attending an upcoming Certified Land Steward Orientation. This training covers all necessary information related to volunteering in DCP natural areas, as well as giving a volunteer access to tool and equipment check-out.
- Upcoming trainings (Certified Land Steward Orientation) are listed on the Activities page. Note: if this training is not listed, we are currently scheduling the next training. Check back soon.
