Earth Day Volunteer Extravaganza: Lead Native Plant Transplanting Volunteer  

Dane County’s Earth Day Volunteer Extravaganza is taking place on Wednesday, April 22 from 2-5pm. There will be a variety of volunteer shifts, including a team of volunteers transplanting native plants.

This is a Lead Volunteer role which will involve assisting a DCP staff person as they lead participants through a seedling transplanting activity. Lead volunteers should have prior knowledge and experience transplanting native plants seedlings as they will be helping to guide participants through the process. Staff will provide an initial overview to the entire group and then the lead volunteer will oversee a table of 4-5 volunteers and help when they have questions. This is an indoor opportunity and could be a standing or seated role. Volunteers in this role must be 18 and over.

• Suggested: a water bottle.
• Anything else you need to be comfortable for your shift.
• Tools will be provided.

What to Wear: 

• Wear clothing appropriate for the weather.
• Wear closed-toed shoes.

• There will be bathroom access and a water fountain.
• This is an indoor opportunity and could be a standing or seated role.
