Volunteering with Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful

Saturday December 19, 2026, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Join Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful for an afternoon of community service as we work together to clean up the neighborhood and help keep Grand Prairie beautiful!

Volunteers will spend the afternoon collecting litter along neighborhood roadways and sidewalks. Whether you live nearby, work in the area, or simply want to spend a few hours giving back to the community, we’d love to have you join us!

Check-in and parking

Please meet at the parking lot of Lyndon B. Johnson DAEP

Address: 650 Stonewall Dr, Grand Prairie, TX 75052

KGPB will provide the cleanup supplies, including:

• Litter grabbers
• Trash bags
• Safety vests
• Gloves

Volunteers are also welcome to bring their own cleanup supplies if they prefer.

After checking in, volunteers will head out into the surrounding neighborhood to collect litter. At the end of the cleanup, please return to the Lyndon B. Johnson DAEP parking lot by 4:00 PM to check out and return any KGPB supplies.

What to Wear & Bring

This is an outdoor volunteer activity that will involve walking, standing, bending, and picking up litter. For your comfort and safety, please wear:

• Closed-toe shoes
• Long pants
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• Comfortable clothing suitable for walking and outdoor work

We also encourage volunteers to bring a water bottle and stay hydrated throughout the event.

KGPB will pick up all collected litter at the end of the event to dispose it at the landfill after volunteers check-out.

If you live or work in the area, we especially encourage you to come out and spend a couple of hours helping care for the neighborhood we all share. Every volunteer makes a difference, and together we can make our community cleaner, safer, and more welcoming.
