Volunteering with Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful

Thank you for your interest in Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful’s Shade Makers Workshop! This free, two-part workshop will be held on November 14 and November 21, 2026. To get the most out of the workshop and ensure a complete learning experience, we ask that participants plan to attend both sessions.

Part 1 – November 14
Participants will learn the basics of pruning and caring for shade, ornamental, and fruit trees through classroom instruction. The location for Part 1 is still being finalized, and registered participants will be notified as soon as the location is confirmed.

Part 2 – November 21
Participants will have the opportunity to put their new skills into practice through hands-on, in-the-field experience at the Gateway Community Garden.

Everyone who registers will receive a confirmation with the locations and additional information to help you prepare for both sessions.
